The Forest Health Community Working Group is facilitating another discussion and tour on forest health and restoration in Alpine County. This time we are going on a bus tour of various locations both inside and outside of the Tamarack Fire to learn about various treatment options. As part of our series of public meetings on these topics we are pleased to have a number of local agency representatives, experienced land managers, and interested members of the public join us on this field trip. We look forward to engaging attendees on various treatments which have been employed, their objectives and steps toward the overall goal of forest resilience. The tour will be conducted by bus, where attendees can enjoy the beautiful views of Alpine County from the comfort of a tour bus while learning about forest health topics. This is an opportunity for members of the public to engage in discussion about what is important in our forests and how we can achieve a resilient condition. Please RSVP here for this event to ensure your spot on the bus! Meet at Turtle Rock Park at 9:00am on Saturday, August 26th to load the bus. We hope to see you there!
