Biomass Pile Opens, Chipping program and Greens Waste Vouchers

Wildfire mitigation activities are well underway as the weather coming this coming week and we prepare for the upcoming wildfire season. Check out these flyers for more information.

The Biomass Pile at Turtle Rock Park will be open Saturdays ONLY starting March 22, then resume our normal spring schedule on April 11th through May 27th on Saturdays, Sundays and Wednesdays. The early opening is giving residents an opportunity to take advantage of the nice weather to get a jump on defensible space creation and maintenance this season. The Curbside Chipping program is also starting to take requests for the season, please see the flyer for the latest information. Please contact (831) 814-7328 to schedule your curbside chipping service.

The Alpine Fire Safe Council has Greens Waste vouchers available for residents to dispose of greens waste at the Douglas Disposal Transfer Station in Gardnerville. Please see the flyer for contacts in your neighborhood to receive a Greens Waste voucher.
