We proudly offer a main library in Markleeville, a branch library in Bear Valley and Bookmobile service to remote County locations.   We are also home to the County Archives and schedule research appointments by request (depending on staff availability).


Visit our  Library of Things page for a  list of musical instruments, sewing machines, telescopes, snowshoes, pickleball sets, disc golf bag sets,  Chromebooks--and much, much more.  All "Things" can be checked out with your library card!

Ongoing Programs

Open Jam session in the Markleeville Library every Friday from 1-3.  Bring your favorite instrument and join the fun (or just come to enjoy some quality music!)

Saturday Storytime!  Every Saturday at 11 am. in the Markleeville library.  Entertaining stories, snacks and activities, provided by staff and Community Volunteers!
