Alpine County Public Health

The Alpine County Public Health Services Department is dedicated to the health and well being of the citizens of Alpine County.

We provide services and programs such as:

• Child Health and Disability Prevention
• Communicable and Infectious Diseases
• Home Outreach Nursing
• Immunization Program
• Perinatal Outreach
• Tobacco Education and Prevention

Richard Johnson, MD, MPH, is Alpine County's Public Health Officer. Dr. Johnson has a wealth of experience as a county public health officer. Prior to joining Alpine County, Dr. Johnson served as the Public Health Officer for both Inyo and Mono Counties. Dr. Johnson's passion is for Public Health Emergency Preparedness.
