Planning Division

The Planning Division is responsible for long range planning and development review in Alpine County CA. The Division provides staff support to the Markleeville Design Review Committee, Planning Commission, and the Tri-County Technical Advisory Committee. 

Applicants are assisted with development project review from special events to Master Plans. The range of duties for the Planning Division includes:

• Code enforcement
• General Plan and Zoning Ordinance
• Maps & Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
• Transportation planning
• Residential Short Term Rentals
• Special Event Permits

To submit an application to the Planning Division, please access our online portal.  The online portal provides a streamlined application process for your planning and development applications.  The portal includes a Planning and Development Information Guide to provide additional information on application requirements.
